Dear All:
There was a discussion in our group why iyer Girls are marrying outside our caste? We are looking for a suitable bride my son from our community. Rarely horoscopes get matched and then I used to contact the families. Most of them are found orthodox and God fearing. My son is a strict vegetarian,non-smoker and non-alcoholic though he is not a firm believer in rituals like me. I got permission from the girl's parents so that the boy and girl can meet informally in some common place like a restaurant. In two cases, girls told that they are non-vegetarian and occasionally smokes and drinks.One girl goes for late night parties.
Both of them (not related) want full permission to have their life as is, in case they want to get married.
It is true and unbelievable to a Palghat iyer family like ours. There is a total life style change in girls. I am feeling sad and I have not informed the Innocent looking parents why we are not agreeable to this alliance.
Is it my moral responsibility to inform the girl's parents or should I keep quite? Now it is high time that we keep a watch on the girls as well.(Parents please note)
