"Mamaas, don't grow up your children to be "cowboys" ~ make them "doctors and lawyers" was the very famous country song by Willie Nelson, that I used to enjoy in the "seventies" driving to work ~ many of you like me, have heard this song before ~ those of us that migrated to the U.S. in the late sixties and/or seventies and even in the early eighties,
"The Indian Pilgrim Fathers of the 20th century", as I call them, have have indeed "
grown" their children up as doctors and lawyers and many of them are now searching for that "cowboy" or "cowgirl" ~ not knowing where to go or how to find them?! And I know that many of your searches through Tamil Matrimony and Shaadi.com and other wedding portals have "drawn a blank" or led you to nowhere in your search or have only brought more "junk mails" into your mail box!
The disparity in the "inverse" ratio of available and eligible SI Brahmin U.S. citizen bridegrooms versus U.S. citizens brides, in general and in the medical field in particular, seems to be only growing alarmingly, substantiated by our own statistics and through other available statistics of North Indian Bridegrooms versus Brides that we have been able to glean! And this stands at 1.5 versus 5 between the grooms and the brides! And our repeated "exhorted" requests to you parents in our Initiative via e~broadcasts last year for each one of you to give us "three" introductions of either "discarded" alliances that you alone were privy to for your sons and daughters and/or give us introductions of 3 parents, friends or relatives who have wards to be married, have remained largely "unheeded" so far, except in a few instances by parents! If each one of you (brides' parents) on our Initiative had given at least "one" introduction, of a U.S. citizen groom, there would have been another 100 U.S. citizen eligible bridegrooms available for you all to go around on this List! One parent seems to think that there are NOT enough SI Bridegrooms enrolled in Med Schools, as do brides, that of those qualified U.S. citizens seeking admissions to Med Schools, that more of the med school seats are taken by other North Indian Hindu community (Gujarathis, Punjabis, Maharashtrians, Andhra, U.P.), and also because more and more well educated and well-placed SI Bridegrooms, do not come through Parental introductions in matrimonial initiative, and venture to seek out their "life partners" on their own! Parents of brides, any thing, anything you can do to help us to serve you with more U.S. citizens bridegrooms would be greatly appreciated! I cannot over-emphasize the importance of this move on your part! Unless you network within our small community, chances are that your brides are going to bring their "sweethearts" from other varnas or you may have to "simply let go of your control" over them, allowing them to "fend for themselves"! in their Matrimony!
Recognizing the long felt need and at the urging of many a parents of doctor brides to introduce their wards ~ Medical Doctors (and those in other related Medical fields), to facilitate in their search processes to matrimonial opportunities available to them, and also recognizing the uncertainties they (your wards) face relative to where they will seek and get a Residency upon graduating from Medical Schools, and also upon completing their Residency, as to where they will seek and get their 2-year Specialization, our Initiative has embarked upon, early on, in compiling this List #16 which includes all of the Registrants in our Database of eligible brides and grooms whose parents are seeking matrimonial opportunities for their wards, from the U.S., of both Citizens and non-citizens, from Canada, the U.K., and Australia. This List is by no means complete and/or comprehensive of all of the Medical Pro brides and grooms living in the U.S., or in other countries identified, but we have attempted to include in this Repository, a compilation of those whose parents have Registered their wards with our Initiative. The List also includes many Medical students who are still in the third year and fourth year of their Med Schools, as some of their Parents have sought to launch their search to "match up" their wards very early on, as their emphasis seems to be to help situate them with their "life partners" together! Interestingly a Parent in North Carolina is seeking a prospective bridegroom for their daughter, who stands at the threshold of her entrance to the First Year of Med School! Our List, as usual, is regionalised by different states starting from Arizona and ending with Washington (and we have none in Wyoming)! Please note the following important and qualifying comments as you "wade" through this List! in making your choices and selections:
- In the U.S., all of the brides and grooms listed below are U.S. citizens. Non-citizens are identified in Parenthesis, with their visa status ~ , "G" denotes Girls, "B" denotes Boys ~ all numbers beginning with 101 + are coded as US Citizens ~ all numbers beginning with 001~050 are. Non-citizens are on various types of work related visas, in the U.S., such as H1B, H1B~GC, J1, L1, G4, and F1 (student), etc.
- if some States no bridegrooms are listed, that mans there are NONE available in that State!
- All U.S. citizens on this List are seeking U.S. citizens only, except those "as noted", by Parents, under those specifically identified ~ generally, most U.S. citizen parents do not wish to be contacted by non-Citizens, so requests for parental contact info from non-citizens seeking info on citizens' wards will be denied by our Initiative! Exceptions will be made to residents of U.K and/Australian citizens.
- In Canada, the U.K., and Australia, most Medical (doctor) Pros who are citizens of those countries from our Lists, on the contrary, welcome brides and grooms who are non-citizens and are living in those countries, on other kinds/types of non-immigrant visas, and they are even willing to sponsor them "in matrimony" to a PR visa status in matrimony, not necessarily doctors but also other professionals, except one or two, who are specifically seeking "doctors" ~ So those seeking Parental contact information for doctor brides and grooms from the U.K., please note that they welcome other type visa holders and professionals in matrimony, as long as they have a permanent intent to settle down there!
- All brides and grooms listed are NEVER B4 married, except those as indicated with an (S) ~ denotes those previously married and separated; those previously married and separated, please do not solicit our "Never B4 married" from our Lists!!
- All the brides and grooms are vegetarians, except where as noted as being"flexible in food habits"!
- Use of the term "pros" all along our List means and includes any other professionals such as MBAs, JD, PhDs, Masters in Engineering and other exceptionally and well qualified professionals, from name brand, reputable, Ivy league schools!
- Most parents who have listed their wards hereunder are South Indian Brahmins and are seeking South Indian Brahmins' wards through our Initiative ~ there may be exceptions to some, where parents have indicated a preference also for North Indians. A few parents from North Indian (Hindus)/ Brahmin community have also embraced our Initiative ~ and we welcome them to GlobalMatri.org! in their search! So also a few cases of Brahmin-cross cultural parentage!
- Recognizing that there are not enough choices available from within the SI Brahmin community for their wards, (daughters particularly), many of the parents whose wards are aging have also sought our assistance in identifying North Indian Hindu Bridegrooms in the U.S. We have included at the tail end of our List, a compilation of North Indian Professional (doctors) ~ Hindu Bridegrooms that we have been able to compile, through other sources. This attempt should by no means be interpreted as our Initiative's attempt to help "promote" "cross cultural" matrimony, but to those Mothers who cry and say "aval kanni khaziyanum" seeing the suffering and the pain of their daughters growing up, aging, not getting married ~ with seemingly no matrimonial opportunities "in sight" within the SI Brahmin community, to embrace their daughters ~ this is yet another another attempt by our Initiative to help assist those parents in their "indignation"! Those parents who wish to pursue the North Indian Hindu Bridegrooms are requested to contact Mr. Srinivasan, via email, so those in that List can be shared with individual parents, on a case by case basis., as they seek such assistance on a "as needed basis"! How does our Initiative work? Our Initiative helps Parents of brides and grooms connect in Matrimony! First if you are NOT registered with us, complete the Registration Form (at the tail end of this news letter) and return it to us.
As a subscribing parent, you can seek parental contact info from any of our Lists, attached to the tail end of this e-mail!
~ from our Lists you can select the brides/grooms that are most compatible for your ward, in terms of his/her age, height, weight, sub-sect, gothram, naksthra porutham, visa status, educational qualifications, proximity to his/her location, etc. ~ then you can email to us a request seeking those bride's/groom's parental contact information you have chosen to explore? We give out the Parental contact information to ONLY subscribing parents ~ once you get the parental contact info, you can make contact with the parents of the bride/groom and take the discussion forward!
With our Initiative, you network with our Group members , share your "discarded" alliances with us that did not pan out for your daughter, for whatever reason, such as no horoscope match, no height, weight porutham, inconsistent visas, same gothram, sub-sect not acceptable, et all. ~ this way you are helping our other members to pursue the alliances that were not useful to you ~ helping those families with whom you could not proceed to formalize the wedding arrangements for you ward ~ by helping them indirectly, so to speak, to seek other alliances through our Initiative, for their wards ~ with the ones you discarded for whatever reason, and we will not disclose their origin! We would in such cases need a profile ID, a parental contact name and a telephone number, and/or an email address ~
