[Kalyanam] LIST #9, Rev #1 dated: June 4, 2011 ~ Texas ~ Brides and Grooms ~ e-blitz for w/ending June 4, 2011~ GlobalMatri.Org

Dear Parents of Brides and Grooms Living the World Over!

We are pleased to present this week with our List#9, Rev #1 dated June 4, 2011,  of Prospective Brides and Grooms living in the State of Texas seeking Matrimony through our Initiative. Our List of Brides and bridegrooms seeking has grown by over 50% both in the U.S. citizens and non-citizens category, seeking, since it was last e-broadcast!  This List is by no means comprehensive and complete of all of the brides and grooms living in Texas but of those who are registered with our Initiative and seeking Matrimony.  As new brides and grooms register, we will update our records ~ if you are NOT registered with our Initiative, kindly do so now ~ there is a Registration Form included at the tail end of this News Letter ~ just complete it and return it to us!  We welcome all Hindu Brahmins living all across North America and the other countries from the World to embrace our Initiative and register!

We are still getting lots of complaints from brides' parents that when they respond with their daughter's profiles, photographs and full family background information, that the bridegrooms' parents NEVER, EVER respond!  I appeal to all the bridegrooms' parents with our Initiative to kindly send in your response ~ you don't have to write a letter, drive up to the Post Office to mail it or even spend 44 cents to mail that letter ~ simply email a one liner "we wish you success in your endeavors!"  that is all you have to do! if you don't want to give an "excuse" or a "reason" to let the other side know! whey their alliance is being declined! They will not only understand it but appreciate it! and Move on!

Another complaint we are getting is that parents, both brides and grooms, particularly those living in India,  in receiving the calls are being very rude, impolite, discourteous ~ Parents, being courteous and polite "does not cost any money", on the contrary, earns and leaves a lot of goodwill!  so please treat the incoming calls with "dignity, decorum and respect that you would like to receive"!  After all, the "caller" could become your "Sammandhi's" one day ~ and you don't want to leave that rude, unsettling, distasteful and impolite behavior linger in the minds of your sons-in-law and/or daughters-in-law, for their life time!

Changing subjects, our Memorial Day weekend e-blitz titled "U.S. H1B and Other Visas ~ Thou are "A Social Evil" in the culmination of Indian Matrimony!" evoked the following responses from Parents!

Dear Shri Srinivasan,

Namaskaram.  Such an erudite explanation in detail about boy and girl's marriage and present state of affairs  prevalent in U.S and the difficulties being faced by parents who want to marry their daughters/sons , the wrong notions being held by them without  understanding the present situation has been fully explained. On behalf of all such parents who are to celebrate the marriage of their daughters/sons, I thank you profusely for explaining with so much detail, at the same time cautioning them that the explanation offered  does not vitiate  the need to go for an immigration lawyer.

May God give you enough strength to continue this noble service to the Brahmin and other communities  for  such a lucid explanation with necessary details.  Helping to  proceed on right lines for the marriage of  children particularly one or either of them is abroad  is valuable, which will also remove the false ego of many parents who suffer with this lacuna about  settling the children located abroad.  This is also an eye opener for those parents located in India to understand the  present position!

"Sarvey Janasa  Sukhino Bhavanthu"  as a maxim being adopted by You, God's grace  is fully bestowed for your selfless service.  ~ DaAsan - N.R.Narayanan ~

My heartfelt thanks for enlightening us on visa related issues in the alliance making process. I am one among the bride's parent in this line for the past 18 months. Bridegroom parents conceal it to the end of the process but clever to receive brides details/picture etc. And keep us in anticipation!  . So that now I understand  why most of the girls refuse USA boys. This secrecy is very well balanced by Bridegroomss" parents. One of our very close friend's daughter remains in India for the past 10 years after her marriage. They are far away in Chennai and were ignorant of such procedures earlier.  Couple of very well respected persons in Chennai had similar matrimonial accidents and advised me not to venture into USA boys. Now my situation is that I migrated with family to Canada in 2000 as a Permanent Resident. My family remains in India after living for couple of years over there (Canada) but we maintain status of PR. Under these circumstances I was searching for Canada /USA boy who prefers to settle down permanently overseas. So far I could not (succeed). They want to return to India for good and non-committal. Most of parents need a girl for serving Bridegroom's demands. They never listen to bride's aspirations and are arrogant on the issue. It is a painful "Social Evil" for parents who have a girl for marriage with overseas plan. I earnestly seek your advice.  Nandakumar S

Incongruities in upbringing, culture and growing up between U.S. and Canadian Citizens born and raised in North America  and Non-citizens brides and grooms born and grown up in India, who are here in the U.S. and Canada on Work Permit visas ~ pairing, introduction and meeting of the gal (citizen) and the boy (non-citizen),  brought about this strong "rebuke" from another U.S. Citizen bride to her mom, who gave us this feedback and wishes to be anonymous:

"Mom, I met the boy (non-citizen) you introduced to me for a coffee this week and was quiet a bit appalled to understand his prejudiced approach to life. He not only does not like to hang out with "White people", but also thinks they have low standards. To say that is very unfortunate. When I had politely let him know that due to difference of interest it would not be great to proceed further and also wished him the best in his future search, he responded back to me saying that he "suspected I am a social drinker and it is now confirmed" . Those were his exact words, I have my email as proof! He is such a judgmental person. He hardly knows me to make such a statement.  Very disappointing to know someone at age 33 has low respect for human beings. Just because, I socialize well, and appreciate the good in different cultures, does not make me a drinker. Not only him but other profiles that I've met through these matrimonial links have similar attitude towards life. It is very rude and not ethical to insult other cultures and this boy did exactly that when I met him. Not only that, he made a very incorrect judgment that I drink and disrespect our culture, without even knowing me. It would have been better if he had politely not said anything, when I respectfully said that this wont' work out."  I just thought I'll share this experience with you, as I know you are interested in knowing why some matches don't work!

Dear Mr Srinivasan,
I'm very happy to tell you that our son, Gautam, has liked a girl and we are in the process of  finalizing the Wedding date! Thank you for all your help. The selfless service that you are doing to the society is incredible. Most of the people [whom i know]  who are looking for an alliance, have heard of you. I shall continue to pass on your email id to the people i come across! Thanks again, Mr Srinivasan. Regards, ~ Radha ~

All of our U.S. lists are segregated into two (2) categories ~ (A)  citizens and green card holders  (B) Non-citizens ~ on H1B, H1B~GC, J1, L1, G4 and F1 visas. Recognizing that most brides and grooms cannot quickly relocate in these hard economic times, because all of the brides and grooms have jobs, or/are stuck in different kinds of work visas, we have given attention to preparing Lists that are regionalized ~ so prospective brides and grooms can connect, if they are in the same region or territory.  Or if your son/daughter can relocate to other regions per our List, you can pursue opportunities from those regions as well!  Also respecting the wishes of American Citizen parents of brides and grooms, we have restricted requests from Non-Citizens seeking Parental Contact Information on Brides and Grooms who are U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders.
