It's widely spoken that many youths are still unmarried (90% males) in
our community. Why we should pave way for our youths to get into an
unholy matrimonial tie-up with any male or female from other community
or caste. Isn't a social evil for the very existence of our
community's tradition and cultural values?
Kerala Brahmana Sabha State Committee has decided to conduct a survey/
Data collection of all those youths (male & female) above 18 years who
are unmarried / divorcee/separated/
positive step ahead to consolidate such information from the members.
This process in done through the support of District / Upa Sabha's
through out the State. Separate volunteers are being identified to
execute this task.
There are many unanswered questions and doubts with respect to this
matrimonial alliance syndrome. Many alternatives are also being
discussed at different levels.
One of the popular and progressive thought is;
If there is scarcity for females in our community, why not we look
into an alliance with those females or males from other sects of
Brahmins itself such as; Thulu Brahmins, Namboodiri Brahmins,
Iyengars, Gowda Saraswatha Brahmins or even Brahmins from North or
West India.
Whether there is really such a grim situation prevailing in the
society?
Whether anyone can point out the basic reason behind such a situation?
Whether the community leaders are seriously things about such issues?
Whether such an issue is discussed in every household?
Whether this syndrome is affecting our community's existence / future?
Let's thrash out this matter and give some concrete solutions for our
youths
