[Kalyanam] Fwd: List #17~ Prospective Brides and Bridegrooms ~ South Eastern United States - Georgia, Carolinas ,Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama~ GobalMatri Initiative

Dear Parents,

Continuing our series of Newsletters and e-broadcasts every week,  to assist parents who have wards living the world over to help connect in  matrimony,  through GlobalMatri Initiative, we are pleased to present this week our List #17 which covers prospective Brides and Grooms living in the Southeastern Part of the United States ~ States of  Georgia, North and South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama. The Southeastern part of the U.S. is not that densely populated in terms of both U.S. citizens and non-citizens of Indian origin, seeking matrimony  ~ if they are, they have not hit our radar screen!  The limited or lack of availability of brides and grooms in the Southeast, poses a challenge not only to those living there seeking to get married, from within the same region, but also because not many brides even want to relocate into these States in matrimony ~ because of limited job opportunities this region offers ~ except for Greater Atlanta, and parts of North Carolina. And yet, parents of some brides and grooms living in these remote parts of the country seeking alliances for their wards are "sticking to their guns" in saying that "we want ONLY Iyengars" or "we want ONLY Vadama Iyers"!

With this e-broadcast we have now covered over 42 of the 48 States within the continental U.S. through our various Lists identified below. The States we have not yet covered are North and South Dakotas, Wyoming, (where don't see that many prospective brides and grooms) and Arizona, Colorado and Nevada. We anticipate wrapping up Arizona, Colorado and Nevada during March, 2011. We are proud to say that GlobalMatri.org NOW covers 97% of the continental U.S, with the exception of Hawaii and Alaska! To get more of them registered through our Initiative, we ask each and every one of you receiving this e-broadcast to take a moment to pause, think and send this Newsletter to at least one other parent, friend, relative who has a son/daughter living abroad, that may be seeking matrimony, so we can assist them! and bring them into our fold!  This will eventually benefit all of you parents because you will have more choices for your wards!

Writes one parent:

I am greatly impressed with your initiative to assist our SI Brahmin community in North America. I always thought someone should try to do this to help our dilemma and I am glad my prayers have been answered in your lofty undertaking. I know it is asking much but do keep this project advancing so most can benefit.  I have also been concerned lately to losing our children to outside influences and your project will assert that we have in our community everything our youngsters dream about in terms of marriage partners.

Once again, I thank you for the immense contribution you are making to our Brahmin community in North America.

Respected Sri Srinivasan,

I was I think one of the first few parents whom you contacted from USA over a year ago. My husband and I have been watching the sincere efforts that you have been putting in ever since, through your "Global~Matri Initiative" in rendering a "yeoman" service to Brahmin matrimony. I am writing to thank you for taking up such a mammoth but important task. As compared to the commercial sites, you have a very good understanding of the subtle requirements of Brahmins, in this day and age and you are affording a great opportunity to boys and girls attain matrimony traditionally and at the same time appropriately. I am beholden to you for this service and wish you many more years of such service.

With pranams,
Dr. Meera Govindarajan

How does our Initiative work? Our Initiative helps Parents of brides and grooms connect in Matrimony!   First if you are NOT registered with us, complete the Registration Form (at the tail end of this news letter) and return it to us.  As a subscribing parent,  you can seek parental contact info from any of our Lists ~ from our Lists you can select the brides/grooms that are most compatible for your ward, in terms of his/her age, height, weight, sub-sect,  gothram, naksthra porutham, visa status, educational qualifications,  proximity to his/her location,  etc. or you can explore all of our Lists if your daughter/son can relocate!  ~ then you can email to us a request  seeking parental contact info on those brides/grooms that you have chosen to explore?  We give out the Parental contact information to subscribing parents ~ once you get the parental contact info, you  can connect with the parents of the bride/groom and take the discussion forward!

With our Initiative, you network with our Group members, share your "discarded"  alliances with us that did not pan out for your ward, for whatever reason,  such as no horoscope match, no height, weight porutham, inconsistent visas, same gothram, sub-sect not acceptable, et all. ~ this way you are helping our other members to pursue the alliances that were not useful to you ~ helping those families with whom you could not proceed to formalize the wedding arrangements for you ward ~  by helping them indirectly, so to speak, to seek other alliances through our Initiative, for their wards ~ with the ones you discarded for whatever reason,  and we will not disclose their origin!  We would in such cases need a profile ID, a parental contact name and a telephone number, and/or an email address ~  Or alternatively,  you could introduce  3 friends and relatives of yours,  who have sons or daughters to be married, to our Initiative.

To bring you up to speed, we are proud to say that over the course of 2010 and through end-January, 2011, we have published and/or updated our Global Lists of Prospective brides and grooms seeking matrimony as follows for: (any of you can request any of these Lists!) with your Registration!

All of our lists are segregated into two (2) categories ~ (A)  citizens and green card holders  (B) Non-citizens ~ on H1B, H1B~GC, J1, L1, G4 and F1 visas. Recognizing that most brides and grooms cannot quickly relocate in these hard economic times, because all of the brides and grooms have jobs, or/are stuck in different kinds of work visas, we have given attention to preparing Lists that are regionalized ~ so prospective brides and grooms can connect, if they are in the same region or territory.  Or if your son can relocate to other regions per our List, you can pursue opportunities from those regions as well!  Also respecting the wishes of American Citizen parents of brides and grooms, we have restricted requests from Non-Citizens seeking Parental Contact Information on Brides and Grooms who are U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders.
